Royston - The Season so Far

Friday 18th of July 2014

I arrived home following my Chinese adventure and resumed race riding in the UK on 12 April. My first ride back was Duke Of Grazeon at Pontefract but unfortunately he got struck into.

In May, I teamed up with my new agent Mark Furnass and it has been a case of so far so good, I've ridden for a host of trainers, including some Group One winning trainer's Barry Hills and Marcus Tregoning for the first time.

I've also re-ignited my link with Mark Johnston and I'm riding out at Kingsley House every week.

I'm confident my work ethic will always stand me in good stead and I have ridden out for quite a few trainers in both the North and South already since arriving back. On arriving back in the UK, I visited the Hambleton House stables of Bryan Smart and within days I've ridden a few for Bryan since which has also included a couple of winners on Ichimoku and Lexington Rose.

My other winner's have come courtesy of John Ryan's Plucky Dip at Kempton, Crafted at Lingfield for Mark Johnston and most recently, Jolly Red Jeanz for Barry Hills at Chester.

I feel that to some degree I'm forgotten about due to me riding in Dubai for most of the year but my work rate and hunger is as huge as ever. I'm always available to ride out for trainers if required to ride and that can be arranged by contacting my agent.

As is the norm, I will be heading to Dubai in mid October but between now and then the aim is to ride as many winners as possible.
